Description
Position manages a wide variety of matters and issues relating to e-discovery and information governance. Primary areas of responsibility include providing legal counsel and support to attorneys concerning e-discovery and advising business clients in the areas of records and information management. A strong candidate will have experience developing and supporting best practices focused on the connection between technology, electronically stored information and the law. The position will involve three primary areas of responsibility: (1) operational (providing litigation support and managing projects); (2) tactical (providing legal advice); and (3) strategic (creating and implementing a vision to further the e-discovery function).
Legal Experience: E-discovery interest and experience is most important. Experience in commercial and insurance-related litigation is preferred but not necessary.
Education and Training: Must be a licensed law school graduate and a member of at least one state bar. The preferred candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience as a practicing attorney.
Communication and Leadership Skills: Must possess strong written and oral communication abilities. Must be able to deal effectively with individuals at all levels of a large organization to attain desired results. Must have the ability to work well with others in a team approach to client services and a desire to provide excellent customer service.
