MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

• Lead key strategic and innovative initiatives and projects designed to promote and protect General Mills’ global market position
• Lead, develop and inspire a diverse team of highly talented legal professionals
• Employ outstanding business partnering skills , including planning and executing long range strategies and developing and executing organizational plans and resources to align with business strategy
• Provide and oversee full array of intellectual property services to technical communities and businesses globally (including technology acquisition and divestiture; global technology transactions; patent preparation and prosecution; trade secret protection; IP litigation oversight)

Requirments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Juris Doctorate with 17 to 22 years' professional experience at a law firm and/or corporate law department and a proven track record in the above areas
• Admission in good standing to the practice of law in at least one state and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
• A technical background preferably in chemistry, mechanical or chemical engineering (particularly chemical engineering) or food science
