Description
Keith Ross & Associates Inc. is engaged in a search for a patent attorney practicing in the chemical arts on behalf of a corporation located in the Southern region of the United States. Our client seeks an attorney with five to ten years of patent legal experience. The individual will be responsible for maintaining and further developing the patent portfolio; strategizing; preparing & prosecuting patent applications as well as managing outside counsel on preparing & prosecuting patent applications; substantial counseling, advice guidance and recommendations to various business, research & development, and legal personnel concerning complex IP legal issues; negotiating & drafting various agreements including confidentiality, licensing & joint development; preparing various legal opinions; litigation support as required.
Requirments
Candidates must have a J.D., admission to a state bar and the U.S.P.T.O.; degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or the equivalent; solid experience in preparing & prosecuting patent applications. Our client is offering competitive compensation up to approximately $150,000 plus a year end bonus potential up to 15% in addition to relocation and a full menu of work/life benefits, and opportunities to continue developing skills and expanding one’s career.
