Biography
Shirley is a registered patent attorney who has a strong blend of technical and legal knowledge combined with exceptional communication skills. For example, she works with clients to understand their needs and objectives, while providing services that add business value. Shirley received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University, graduating cum laude, received Omega Chi Epsilon award and is a member of Tau Beta Pi. She received her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law, with emphasis in Intellectual Property and received CALI Awards in Patent Prosecution and Intellectual Property Licensing. Prior to law school, Shirley worked for The Procter & Gamble Company, where she is an inventor on several utility patents. She has been with Lee & Hayes for over five years. .
She is currently a Board Member of Spokane WA Women Lawyers and a Member of the Asian Bar Federal Judicial Evaluation Committee. Shirley provides pro bono legal assistance for SCORE, supervises law students at Washington State agency for innovative technology, and judges Gonzaga law students for Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court competition.
